Academic excellence at Eastland Christian School continues in the elementary school as students receive a crucial foundation for the college-preparatory courses that they will take in the upper grades. Our desire is that our students will grow in mind and heart to become lifelong learners and pursue productive lives of service to others.
Central to this purpose is a godly and caring faculty who are skilled in implementing a comprehensive curriculum and instructional program.
In grades 1-6, the core curriculum includes the following subjects: Reading, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Bible, Computer and Fine Arts.
Students develop critical thinking skills and learning strategies at each grade level. They are challenged to think, learn and excel in individual instruction and in small and large group settings.
Eastland elementary students participate in various academic competitions with other schools including spelling, creative writing and fine arts, and have received many regional and state honors in these competitions.
At Eastland, they also have numerous opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge in Fine Arts performances and participate in community sports.
We are proud that our students consistently perform at least one year above the national level on the annual standardized achievement testing.
