Secondary school students are faced with a host of changes, excitement and new experiences in the midst of an increasingly challenging culture. More and more, where they attend school can make all the difference in the success of their educational outcome.
Eastland students perform at least one year above the national level on the annual standardized achievement testing.
Eastland Christian School provides the opportunity to enjoy this exciting time of a young person’s life in a dynamic, challenging and safe Christian educational environment, while providing them with a foundation for life-long learning.
Through individualized attention, small class sizes and accelerated curriculum, students at Eastland are challenged to take ownership of their learning and work to their full potential.
Our upper school’s high caliber college preparatory course seeks to equip students to be extraordinary thinkers and Christ-honoring decision makers. Career exploration and guidance counseling begins in the 9th grade, as students are prepared for PLAN, PSAT, ACT and SAT testing.
Throughout the year, students participate in various academic, creative writing and fine arts competitions with other schools. Eastland students have received many regional and state honors in these competitions. We are proud that our students consistently perform at least one year above the national level on the annual standardized achievement testing.
Students must accumulate a total of 24 credits in the required subjects in grades nine through twelve.
Seniors qualify for the Bright Futures Scholarship Program, which was created in 1997 by the Florida Legislature. The scholarship rewards students for their academic achievements during high school by providing funding for them to pursue postsecondary educational and career goals in Florida. 90% of applying Eastland seniors have been awarded 75% Florida Merit Scholarships; some have received 100%.
With diverse academic, athletic and fine arts programs and co-curricular activities, students are challenged to maximize their God-given talents.
